2. Course access and accounts
You may need to create a learner account to enrol in, purchase or access a course.
You are responsible for providing accurate, current account information and keeping your username and password confidential. You must not share your login details, enrolment, course materials or account access with another person.
You must tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Unless a course description or written agreement says otherwise, each course enrolment is for one individual learner only.
Schools, universities, community organisations and corporate groups must contact us to arrange group access, licences or tailored learning arrangements. Group licences may limit the number of learners, period of access, permitted uses and course materials available.
3. Non-accredited courses and RTO status
Ecotreasures Learning provides non-accredited online courses for general education, awareness and personal development.
Ecotreasures is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Our courses are not nationally recognised training and do not lead to an Australian Qualifications Framework qualification, Statement of Attainment, unit of competency, accredited course outcome or other nationally recognised vocational education and training credential.
Any certificate issued through Ecotreasures Learning is a certificate of completion only. It confirms that the learner has completed the course requirements recorded by our learning system. It does not confirm practical competence, professional accreditation, licence eligibility, workplace competency, employment suitability or authority to perform a regulated activity.
If you need nationally recognised training, a professional qualification or a Statement of Attainment, you should enrol with an appropriately registered RTO.
4. Course content and availability
We aim to provide accurate, useful and engaging learning content. Course material may be updated, corrected, amended, replaced or removed from time to time to reflect new information, safety guidance, technology changes or improvements to the learning experience.
We may update course lessons, videos, quizzes, downloadable resources, assessments and activities without prior notice.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to every course, website feature or third-party service. Access may occasionally be affected by planned maintenance, software updates, internet outages, platform issues, payment-provider issues or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where reasonably possible, we will work to restore access promptly.
5. Course access period
The access period for a course will be displayed on the relevant course sales page or at checkout.
Unless otherwise stated, paid online courses provide access for: 12 months from the date of enrolment.
Free courses may be changed, withdrawn or made unavailable at any time.
For schools, universities, community organisations and corporate groups, the learner numbers, access period and permitted use will be set out in the relevant quotation, invoice or written agreement.
6. Prices and payments
All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise.
Prices may change before purchase. The price displayed at checkout is the price you will be charged.
Payments are processed through approved third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment-card details.
You must provide valid payment details and authorise the relevant payment provider to process the amount shown at checkout. If payment is declined, reversed, disputed or not completed, we may suspend or cancel course access until the matter is resolved.
7. Refunds and consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Consumer guarantees may apply to products and services supplied through Ecotreasures Learning. Where a course or service does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy, which may include a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation depending on the circumstances.
We do not generally provide a refund for:
- Change of mind

- Failure to access or use a course during its stated access period

If you believe there is a problem with a course, payment or your course access, contact us at study@ecotreasures.com.au with your order details and a description of the issue. We will assess the request and respond within a reasonable time.

Ecotreasures Learning courses provide general educational information only. They do not replace professional advice, formal qualifications, lifeguard supervision, swimming instruction, medical advice, emergency services, official warnings, local authority directions or your own judgement.
Beach, ocean, snorkelling and water activities involve inherent risks. Conditions can change rapidly and may include waves, currents, rip currents, weather changes, cold water, poor visibility, submerged hazards, boats, marine animals and other people.

9. Certificates of completion
Some courses may provide a digital certificate of completion.
A certificate of completion confirms only that a learner has completed the course requirements recorded by our learning system. It does not demonstrate practical competency, professional accreditation, current certification, legal authority, employment suitability or fitness to perform water-based, emergency-response or professional activities.
Certificates must not be changed, copied, misrepresented or used to claim a qualification that the course does not provide.
